ANECT Became Partner of ISSS 2010 Conference

ANECT a.s. became a partner of the 13th ISSS Conference (Internet ve státní správě a samosprávě – Internet in national and local governments), one of the most important events of this kind in Central and South-Eastern Europe. This year the conference will take place in Hradec Králové (April 11 to 13), offer 250 talks and presentations, and introduce over a hundred services and technologies developed for public administration. The conference will be held under the auspices of the Czech Prime Minister Jan Fischer, the Czech Minister of the Interior Martin Pecina and the Association of Regions of the Czech Republic.

„Public administration has been lately increasingly pressurized to be more cost-effective, which has caused a number of budget cuts, also in the ICT budget. Our goal is to present solutions that will help our customers from public administration with their ICT management, and with which they will be able to achieve better results while maintaining (or even reducing) their costs. At the same time, though, we strongly emphasize the importance of ICT security, an area to which not enough attention is being paid," says Vítězslav Mačuda, ANECT Business Manager.

ANECT, an ISSS 2010 partner, will be represented at the conference by three speakers. Luděk Novák will focus on risk register in his talk "ICT Security". Libor Neumann´s presentation will be on ALUCID – a new generation of electronic identity. And Aleš Mahdal will talk about efficient ICT administration being the basis for providing outsourcing services.

The conference will also cover topics such as development of e-government, data boxes, and document conversion, digitizing and archiving, basic registers, information on the Czech POINT project, ICT security and a number of others. In addition to that, the conference program will include expert sections on eHealth, eJustice, eTurism or eLandRegister, and the results of popular award-winning competitions Golden Crest, Eurocrest, Biblioweb and JuniorErb. The prestigious awards Český zavináč and the Awards of the Czech Minister of the Interior for the greatest contribution to public administration will be given during the conference as well.

And last but not least, there will be a presentation by LORIS (The Local and Regional Information Society), which has been lately focusing mainly on twinning collaboration between European towns and regions, and the V4DIS Conference (The Visegrad Four for Developing Information Society), a great opportunity for experience sharing and collaboration among the Visegrad countries in the field of IT in public administration. About 2,500 thousand participants are expected to register for the conference.
