Cisco is the world´s largest provider delivering solutions for data, voice and video transmission and for wired and wireless networks. Cisco solutions include tools for team collaboration and remote business communication such as TelePresence or WebEx, as well as comprehensive company communication solutions for large and small enterprises, multimedia devices and applications, data centers, routers, switches and many others. Via its Linksys division, Cisco now also offers products designed for households.
Cisco was founded in 1984 by a group of computer scientists from Stanford University. Since the very beginning, the company technology specialists and engineers played the key role in developing network technologies based on the Internet Protocol (IP). That is why almost all of today´s Internet traffic is being routed by Cisco products. The company now has about 63,000 employees all over the world, and in the last fiscal year reached the net profit of 34.9 billion USD from sales.
Cisco has been in the Czech market since 1995. The Czech Republic is perceived by the Cisco Management as one of the key markets not only in the region of Eastern Europe, but also among all global markets. By providing its high-end technologies, Cisco Czech Republic tries to help local large as well as small companies to become more efficient and achieve higher business results, but it also provides support to others to help them improve their living standard.
