A brief summary of the service key features
The "Virtualization and Consolidation of Servers" service improves the computing performance of your physical servers and enables high availability of your critical applications and services run in your ICT.
The process of implementation consists of the following phases:
- Analysis of your current servers and applications workload - with regard to your business strategy, ANECT´s specialists analyze the servers and applications that you are currently using
- Proposal of a new optimized virtual infrastructure that takes into account the services and "business applications" that you are currently using.
- Migration plan - for migration from the original infrastructure to a new virtual one (the plan is made in close cooperation with the client)
- Delivery, installation and configuration of the required HW (servers, disk arrays) and SW for the virtualization, incl. the migration of services to a virtual infrastructure. During the implementation of the services, we fully respect your business environment
- We always choose technologies that will build on your current IT infrastructure and quickly react to the changes of your business strategy. Many years of our experience allow us to assess the implementation risks with great accuracy

- The service is provided as a complex ready-to-use solution
- Invoicing - lump sum (when the whole project is complete) or stage payment - phase by phase
What are the main benefits for the client?
- Lower server operating costs - energy savings. You can reduce your costs by implementing a virtual server infrastructure. When the number of physical servers is reduced, the operating costs also become lower (power supply, cooling, rack location etc.). Instead of 20 to 50 physical servers you can now only use 2 to 4 virtual ones; these will host your virtual infrastructure. The energy savings will be directly proportional to this server reduction
- Reduced license costs - licenses can now be shared. The software used in the virtual infrastructure can be (in some situations) shared by more logical servers. This will reduce your license costs by 10 to 50 %
- Improved "Business Continuity and "Business Availability". The implementation of virtual servers guarantees high availability (HA) of the whole solution. The "Virtualization and Consolidation of Servers" service thus minimizes the risk of service outages.
